Caerula Celeste Kharjo

warrior of light

lore

Caerula Kharjo, aka 'Cae', the Warrior of Light and the oldest of the Kharjo siblings.Isoli and Davynor Kharjo officially adopted her when she was 9, a year after she had saved Suri's life in the streets of Ishgard. She is a very protective older sister, and has on more than one occasion thrown punches in defense of her siblings, a habit that stuck and stayed even to present day.Caerula's proficiency for the grim art of the Reaper stems from the only thing she ever got from her bio-parents, a Scythe. She keeps a tight form in the Garlean art, making her enemies seem like soft butter in comparison to her blade. When she's not wielding the Scythe like it's an extension of her own body, she's quite fond of the art of the Warrior, Paladin, Viper and Sage (although she'd never admit to that last one). When she's not running errands for those in need at the behest of the Scions or her family, Cae's favourite pastime is doing absolutely anything with her siblings. She has a soft spot for Suri and Luna thanks to their shared past, but can often be seen helping Mimi with her Pictomancy (miserably so, as Cae is neither a creative nor a Grade-S Mage) and helping Eli, by teaching his boyfriend how to be a better Dark Knight so that Eli doesn't have to pick up any tank-adjacent arts.

Asura Solis Kharjo

stargazer, card reader

lore

Known to all who are lucky enough to cross her path as 'Suri', Asura is the second oldest of the Kharjo siblings (but only by a couple of minutes, as her twin Mimi likes to point out).Suri (and of course Mimi) was born in Kugane to loving parents Isoli and Davynor, a White Mage and a Dark Knight who come from what could be considered 'luxurious' families on both sides. The (at the time) small family temporarily moved to the Holy See of Ishgard at the request of a family friend, and they stayed there for around 12 years before returning back to Kugane where the family house is still filled to this day with the scent of Davynor's mediocre cooking and sound of Isoli's bright laughter.Suri is a diligent Astrologian, with a nervous laugh and a lot of love for those she's close with. Her bond with the Warrior of Light, Caerula, is not just one of sisters but one of almost a debt; having had her life saved by her now-sibling when they were very young. Despite Caerula's argument, Suri takes as many chances as she gets to 'repay her for saving her', ranging from bringing her a midnight snack for them to share, to picking up the art of the Paladin just to be able to be the one to jump in front and block the enemies for once.Suri draws cards from her deck each morning as her own way of calming herself, but also to see if perhaps something sinister is on the menu for the adventures of her siblings, or her fiance Y'shtola. No one in the family can argue against the validity of the cards, not since that one time she predicted death, and she did in fact die. (Everyone say thank you Menphina, for bringing back your devoted.)

Luna Lumine Kharjo

dedicated scholar

lore

Luna, the second-youngest of the Kharjo siblings but also the smartest, is a quiet and solemn Viera who spends her time surrounded by books and loose notes, and snacks provided lovingly by her sisters who try to trick her into putting her work down for two seconds to eat something.Luna was adopted by Isoli and Davynor Kharjo when she was around the age of 8; her bio-parents had passed away a few years ago and she had been keeping to herself and studying whatever measly books she could get her hands on while looking after Eli, a boy a year younger than her who seemed to be in a similar situation to herself, causing her to feel empathetic. She met the Kharjo's by happenstance, thanks to the bouncing red-headed Miqo'te named Mimi, who tripped over poor Luna when she was scribbling notes in an alley.Luna excels in everything she touches; first the art of the Scholar, that she picked up when she was younger in Limsa Lominsa, then Dance, that she learned from a passing Hyur from Thavnair that she met when peeking her head around the corner in the streets of Ishgard. She prefers the life of helping others and tending to their wounds swiftly, but dance is both a fun pastime and useful skill for battle thanks to the chakrams. When she's not silently looking up to Caerula, Suri and Mimi, she's probably handing notes to Thancred that make his face turn red.Luna adores her family, but she will never admit this to her siblings' faces. During the unfortunate expedition near "The End" (aka Endwalker), after already facing the loss of her beloved Thancred, her facade broke for the second time in her life upon witnessing her second-oldest sister disappear into the cloud of darkness with Y'shtola and Urianger. (No one is allowed to speak of this to this day, even Caerula; mostly because no one wants a grumpy Luna on their hands.)

Ciel Éternelle

devoted summoner

lore

Ciel, known to few as Sky, is a Raen from Kugane. She grew up a family friend to the Kharjo's, and with her similar age, became good friends with all of the siblings.Ciel is a serious, quiet girl who tends to be on the more reserved side for the majority of the time. Her best friends Kuni and Suri are able to bring out her bright and giggly side pretty easily, especially when the three are all together. In a fight, her carbuncle is her shadow, helping her with her strong aetherical powers to attack and defend. Even as a child, she was studying arcanist arts, even managing to advance the field and earn her Archon mark's for her contributions by age 23.Ciel holds a lot of guilt in her heart. As it was her own uncle that harmed and traumatised not only herself, but Caerula, Asura and Luna as well, she feels at least somewhat responsible—wishing to make it up to them any way she can even though she knows she would never feel like she's truly done so.When she's not head deep in a flurry of pages and pages of research alongside Luna, she can be found sitting waterside in Old Sharlayan with Suri, usually just keeping her company quietly or recounting inside jokes or past stories. She will also often wander around aimlessly with Kuni and Kiriko, a quiet listener to their sisterly banter of the day. If all else fails, she'll be on a trip to Gridania to visit Elliott Kharjo, helping him study Pictomancy with Mimi, or aiding him with commissions or leves for the city.
